Fishing Licences

TIDAL WATERS FISHING LICENCE

All anglers must have a licence to fish tidal (salt) waters in British Columbia. It is best to purchase your licence online before you head out. Licences are purchased annually and are good from April 1 to March 31.

Don’t forget your salmon stamp!

Anglers intending to retain salmon caught in tidal waters must also purchase a salmon conservation stamp and have it affixed to their licence. DFO provides all of the funds generated from stamp sales to the Pacific Salmon Foundation to support salmon restoration, stewardship and enhancement projects in British Columbia.
